The Family Guidance Specialist role at Milton Hershey School requires married couples to serve as flex houseparents in on-campus student homes. As a key member of our team, you will provide mentorship and support to 8-12 students, fostering a family-like environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.
About the Position:
This is a unique opportunity for couples who have experience working with youth and are committed to creating a structured schedule of mentorship and support. You will work closely with your partner to develop and implement individualized plans for each student, providing daily guidance and encouragement. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe living environment, driving students to appointments, and adhering to campus guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and support to 8-12 students in a family-like environment
- Develop and implement individualized plans for each student
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Drive students to appointments as needed
- Adhere to campus guidelines and policies
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Must be a married couple with at least two years of marriage
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
