What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurturing Environment for At-Risk Youth position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents at our school in Hershey, PA.
As a houseparent, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing, family-like environment for disadvantaged students from pre-K to 12th grade.
This role involves guiding and supporting 8-12 students while managing daily responsibilities.
Salary and Benefits
The total compensation package for this role includes a salary of $43,825 per person (approximately $150,000 per couple) plus free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.

Relocation assistance and paid training are also provided.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements and qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children residing in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limits apply
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
