Job Description
Flex houseparents at Milton Hershey School provide a nurturing family-like environment for students from under-served settings. Married couples guide and support a small group of students, taking on various responsibilities including driving, budgeting, and medication administration. This unique role requires commitment, integrity, and a passion for education and youth development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
