What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurturing Houseparents position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking experienced couples to become part of our team as Nurturing Houseparents. As Nurturing Houseparents, you and your partner will reside in on-campus homes, providing a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique career path requires consideration and commitment from both spouses.
The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They should be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
