What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Youth Caregivers position at Milton Hershey School?
In this part-time role, you will play a vital part in the lives of our students, providing guidance, support, and care in a residential setting. As a weekend houseparent, you will live on-campus student homes every other weekend, supervising and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating student activities, chaperoning to Sunday chapel services, driving student home vans, administering medications, preparing meals, and more. You will work closely with the full-time staff to ensure the well-being and safety of the students.
To succeed in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older and have been legally married for at least two years. Couples should reside within a 100-mile radius of campus and have a valid driver's license.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid training, compensation of $756.20 per person, per weekend, plus meals provided while on duty. This is a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses.
