Your primary responsibilities as a house parent will include:
- Providing guidance and support to students in daily activities
- Fostering personal growth and development in students
- Maintaining a positive atmosphere in the student home
- Handling various tasks such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must have been legally married for at least two years. You should also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students.
