What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Counselors position at Milton Hershey School?
We are looking for Residential Counselors to join our team at Milton Hershey School. As a Residential Counselor, you will reside in an on-campus student home with your spouse and guide and nurture a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting.
The successful candidate will have experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. You will need to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and have limitations on pets. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
Responsibilities
- Guiding and supporting 8-12 students in a residential setting
- Managing daily responsibilities such as driving and administering medication
- Participating in activities that foster a family-like atmosphere
- Leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
