Milton Hershey School is a world-renowned private school providing exceptional career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a flex houseparent, you will reside in an on-campus student home with your spouse, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Your role will involve providing a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also cover different student homes initially before being assigned to one specific home.
We offer a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. We require a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and pets are limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds.
Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
