We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Houseparents, Full-Time at Milton Hershey School. As a Houseparent, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This unique opportunity involves living on campus with your spouse and working together to provide a nurturing environment for students. Your responsibilities will include managing student homes, providing transportation, and assisting with daily tasks. The total compensation package for this role includes a salary of $43,825 per person and comprehensive benefits.

About Our School

Milton Hershey School is a private boarding school that provides a free education to students from low-income families. Our school is fully endowed and has the resources to ensure that both students and staff are provided everything they need to thrive.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Houseparent, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing a consistent and supportive environment for students
• Managing student homes, including meal planning, household chores, and maintenance
• Assisting with transportation, including driving student home vans
• Helping students with daily tasks, such as homework, personal care, and recreation
• Participating in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• Legally married couples with at least two years of marriage experience
• Both spouses should be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated high degree of integrity
