About the Role:
In this position, you will work closely with your spouse to guide and mentor students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include managing daily activities, fostering a positive living environment, and collaborating with school staff to ensure students receive necessary support and resources. As a Residential Mentor, you will also develop and implement strategies to address individual student needs and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor students in their personal and academic development
- Manage daily activities, including homework assistance, meal planning, and household chores
- Foster a positive and inclusive living environment, promoting respect, empathy, and open communication among residents
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure students receive necessary support and resources
- Develop and implement strategies to address individual student needs and concerns
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Must be married couples with prior experience working together as a team
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
