What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Support Specialist position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples who share our values and are passionate about providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our students. As a flex houseparent, you will work closely with other staff members to create a safe and welcoming home environment for our students.
Your responsibilities will include guiding and mentoring our students, assisting with daily routines, and providing emotional support when needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining household structure and ensuring that our students receive the care and attention they need.
We offer a competitive salary package, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance to support you in this role. Our schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
