Milton Hershey School is a private school that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing groups of students in a family-like home environment.
The Youth Development Specialist position involves overseeing student activities, managing daily responsibilities, and providing emotional and educational support. Couples receive extensive benefits, including a competitive salary, housing, and a schedule that allows for personal time and growth opportunities.
Our benefits package includes a salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and a nine-day work cycle with three days off. Couples must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and meet certain qualifications.
Responsibilities include leading students in daily devotions, taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services, and demonstrating a high degree of integrity as role models for students. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and have a high school diploma or GED. We value candidates who have a strong foundation in youth development and a commitment to creating a safe and structured living space.
