What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Youth Care Specialists position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is committed to providing a world-class education and care for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a Flex Houseparent, you and your spouse will reside on-campus and provide a nurturing environment for up to 12 students.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support for students' academic and personal growth
- Managing daily routines and schedules, including meal planning and preparation
- Coordinating educational and extracurricular activities
- Budgeting and financial management
- Driving and transportation duties
We offer:
- Total compensation package: approx. $150,000 per couple, including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more

To qualify:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Candidates must demonstrate high integrity, as staff are role models for students
