Supporting Student Success
As a Houseparent couple, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and personal success of students. You will provide guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, creating a family-like atmosphere for 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include providing daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited). You will also be responsible for driving student home vans, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and other household duties.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You must be a legally married couple for at least two years, with both spouses being age 27 or older. No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and there are limitations on pets. Valid driver's licenses are required, as well as the ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
