Responsibilities of a Houseparent
As a Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive, family-like environment for your assigned students. This includes establishing clear boundaries, encouraging good behavior, and building strong relationships with your students. You will also be responsible for managing daily responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. In addition, you will participate in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
You will work closely with other members of the Houseparent team to provide a cohesive and supportive environment for all students. You will also be expected to maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
