As a Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Your role will include:
Student Support and Guidance
· Providing guidance and support to students in daily activities and academics
· Helping students set goals and develop skills to achieve academic success
· Encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities and clubs
Caregiving and Safety
· Ensuring the well-being and safety of students in your assigned group
· Handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
· Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for students
Communication and Collaboration
· Working closely with other Houseparents and school staff to support student needs and well-being
· Communicating effectively with students, parents, and school staff
· Participating in regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about student progress and school initiatives
