Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become Flex Houseparents, providing a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As Residential Youth Caregivers, you will guide and support youth in their educational and personal development.
About the Role:
This is a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses. You will reside on-campus with a group of 8-12 students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and maintaining a supportive home atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. Our schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, with three weeks of paid summer vacation.
Requirements:
To be considered, you must be a legally married couple, both aged 27 or older, with no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. You should also be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
