The Youth Development Specialist role requires married couples to serve as flex houseparents, nurturing and guiding 8-12 students in a supportive, family-like environment. Responsibilities include administration, supervision, and participation in students' daily lives, with a focus on providing stability and fostering personal development. This unique position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You will also need a valid driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans. High school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
