What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Coordinator position at Milton Hershey School?
The Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing a supportive family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique role involves guiding, nurturing, and managing household tasks for a group of students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
As a flex houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will provide a consistent family-like structure for students and be responsible for leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary, relocation assistance, and paid training. Our team provides the necessary resources to ensure both students and staff thrive.
Candidates must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, with no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. We require a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted.
If you're looking for a career that takes consideration and commitment from both spouses, we encourage you to apply. Our recruitment team is available to answer any questions before or after applying.
