What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Leaders position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a world-class private school providing exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing a group of students in a family-like environment.
As flex houseparents, you will reside on-campus in student homes, managing daily responsibilities and providing a consistent structure for students. You will cover different student homes initially before being assigned to one specific home.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; life insurance; disability options; and retirement savings. You will also receive relocation assistance and paid training.
The ideal candidate has experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are required. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
