Job Description
As a Flex Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care and guidance to groups of students in a residential setting. This unique role requires a commitment to fostering a family-like environment and includes responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, and budgeting. You will work closely with your spouse to create a stable and supportive living environment for the students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You must be legally married for at least two years, and both spouses should be age 27 or older. You will also need a valid driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Additionally, you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).

In addition to the competitive salary and benefits package, we offer a flexible schedule with nine days on followed by three days off. You will also receive three-week paid summer vacation and relocation assistance. Our campus is smoke-free and weapon-free, and we have limitations on pets. Only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted.
