Role Overview
The Youth Development Specialist at Milton Hershey School plays a vital role in nurturing and guiding students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing a family-like environment in on-campus homes.
This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years. The couple will reside in an on-campus student home, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a consistent family-like structure for students
- Handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
