Role Description
As a Youth Development Specialist at Milton Hershey School, you will be part of a unique team that guides and nurtures students from under-served settings. This role involves married couples acting as flex houseparents to provide support for daily activities, administer medication, and ensure a positive living experience for students. You will work closely with your spouse to create a family-like environment that promotes growth and development in our students.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to students in their daily activities
- Administer medication as needed
- Ensure a positive living experience for students
- Work collaboratively with your spouse to maintain a safe and healthy living environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Both spouses must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)

· Salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more)
