Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join our team as flex houseparents. As a youth development specialist, you will provide guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Job Description
This unique role involves residing in on-campus homes with your spouse and creating a family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students. Responsibilities include nurturing a supportive home, overseeing student activities, and managing household tasks.
As a flex houseparent, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students. You will work closely with your spouse and other staff members to provide a stable and loving environment for our students to thrive.
Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
