Job Description:
Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a leading private school that provides exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed with resources to support both students and staff.
Role Overview:
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents at MHS. As flex houseparents, you will reside on-campus with a group of approximately 8-12 students, providing a consistent family-like structure and guiding them through various aspects of life.
Responsibilities:
- Drive students to activities and appointments
- Administer medication as needed
- Budgeting and financial management
- Reporting and record-keeping
Benefits:
- Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple)

Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Limited pet policy: fish and one approved breed dog only
- Valid driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Candidates must demonstrate high integrity as all staff are role models for students
- Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
