Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to fill a unique and rewarding role as Youth Mentors. As guardians for groups of 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, you will provide a family-like environment that promotes emotional growth and development.
About the Role
This position requires a two-person team who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older and have experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You will reside on campus and support students with day-to-day activities and essential life skills.
Responsibilities
As a Youth Mentor, your responsibilities will include providing a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more. You will also be required to lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, you must be comfortable with a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and abide by certain pet restrictions.
