What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Mentorship Coordinators position at Milton Hershey School?
At Milton Hershey School, we are committed to providing an exceptional education and a supportive community to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As Youth Development Specialists, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment within our on-campus student homes. Married couples with experience working or volunteering with youth are encouraged to apply. We require both spouses to be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Our comprehensive compensation package includes a salary of $43,825 per person (approximately $150,000 per couple) plus free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings are also provided. Relocation assistance and paid training are additional perks of this role. With a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, you will have personal time during school hours and a three-week paid summer vacation.
The ideal candidate should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students. Valid driver's licenses and certification to drive student home vans are also required.
