We are seeking married couples to join our team as Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. In this role, you and your spouse will work together to provide a family-like environment for 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include supervision, transportation, medication administration, and fostering a supportive community. This role requires couples to be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include supervising students, transporting them to and from activities, administering medication, and handling household responsibilities. You will also be responsible for creating a positive and supportive environment for your students. You will work closely with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all students.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and they must be legally married for at least two years. Couples are also required to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy. Additionally, they must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have a valid driver's license. They will also need to become certified to drive student home vans.

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. We also provide relocation assistance and paid training. Your schedule will include nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. A three-week paid summer vacation is also offered.
