Milton Hershey School is committed to providing a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a Residential Youth Caregiver, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting our students, helping them achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They should be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services. Couples must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
We offer a competitive salary package of $43,825 per person, including comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. Our flexible schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. We also provide three-week paid summer vacation.
In this unique career path, couples work together to create a family-like structure for our students. They handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. Flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
