About the Role
The Youth Development Specialist position at Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as flex houseparents for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a flex houseparent, you will provide a nurturing environment, manage household tasks, support students academically and emotionally, and be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services.
Compensation and Benefits
Our total compensation package for this role is approximately $150,000 per couple, which includes a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, along with free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and other benefits. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must have been married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be at least 27 years old
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license
