Job Description
As a Flex Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students. You will reside in on-campus student homes and provide a consistent, family-like structure for a group of approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include guiding and nurturing the students, managing daily tasks, and participating in their education.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide a safe and supportive home environment for students
- Guide and nurture students in their personal and academic development
- Manage daily tasks and responsibilities, including driving and administering medication
- Participate in students' education and activities
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
