Milton Town School District seeks an energetic, upbeat, innovative .5 FTE Literacy Substitute Teacher to join our grades 9-12 high school. Candidates must have experience and demonstrate the ability to cultivate foundational skills in both writing and reading among high school students. Knowledge of evidence-based high-impact reading acquisition strategies for adolescent and young adult learners and the ability to teach writing as a process is preferred. The ability to collaborate and communicate with other teachers is a must. The .5 schedule is not fixed and can be adjusted to meet the right candidate's availability.
This position is for approximately 67 days, beginning March 1, 2025. The minimum pay is $63.75 for a half or $127.50 for a whole day or more, depending on experience and schedule.
