What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent-Lake Charles Area position at MILTON J. WOMACK?
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Superintendent with Milton J. Womack, Inc. located in Lake Charles, LA. The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. The Assistant Superintendent participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the subcontractors, architect and consultants on field and constructability issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial building construction, including scheduling and budgeting.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
- In collaboration with the Superintendent perform daily job site walks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Ability to assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project scheduling.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5 or more years of experience in commercial construction.
