Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative to join our team and help generate additional revenue from our existing customer base. This role focuses on proactive follow-ups and routine engagements that deepen our relationship with project managers, buyers, and architects. The ideal candidate will leverage CRM tools and social media automation to maintain consistent communication and provide timely updates to both existing and prospective customers.
Duties
- Maximize Revenue Opportunities: Proactively reach out to existing customers to identify new sales opportunities and expand order volumes.
- Build Relationships: Develop and nurture strong connections with project managers, buyers, and architects through regular follow-ups and personalized engagement.
- Leverage CRM and Automation: Utilize CRM systems and social media automation to expand within existing accounts and acquired net new customers by streamlining communications, sending targeted updates, and track customer interactions effectively.
- Understand Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret blueprints, construction specifications, and takeoffs to provide accurate information to customers. We offer training for these tasks, but a background in this area is highly desirable.
- Order Management: Generate and process orders received via phone, email, or CRM, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints and claims promptly, focusing on providing effective solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Logistics, Production, Finance and other internal teams to resolve issues and ensure a smooth sales process.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction, estimating, design, millwork, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2 years in inside or outside sales.
- Blueprint and Specification Knowledge: Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and takeoffs is highly desirable. We provide training, but prior experience is preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with web-based office software and CRM systems is highly desirable. Experience with social media automation tools is a plus.
- Design Skills: Drafting/CAD or similar design experience is highly desirable.
- Education: Associate's degree preferred, or similar undergraduate or continuing education credits.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Organized: Excellent multitasking and organizational skills to manage follow-ups and engagements efficiently.
