Rough Carpentry Supervisor/Instructor
In this role, you will support MCSC’s Work Projects Training Program. For this position, you will need to understand and have experience in rough framing and putting together components to construct a home. You will lead and train work crews, so the ability to share your knowledge and coach and mentor individuals is necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
· Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
· Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
· Experience in home construction and rough framing.
· Good knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment.
· Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and Insurable.
· Reliable transportation to get to and from MCSC’s Milwaukee office.
· Team player attitude.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
Preferred Qualifications
· 1 year supervisory, training, and/or crew leadership experience.
· Experience in coaching, training, and/or mentoring.
· Experience working with at-risk and disadvantaged individuals.
