Job Summary: Under the direction of the Division Administrator (Deputy) or (Deputy) Family Court Commissioner, to be responsible for professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of a specialized program or function within a division of Combined Court Operations.

Courts Operations Supervisor

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Division Administrator (Deputy) or (Deputy) Family Court Commissioner, to be responsible for professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of a specialized program or function within a division of Combined Court Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform/supervise the performance of highly specialized processing of cases and information, including court calendars, appeals, case records, criminal dispositions, budget, and finance functions. Responsible for the unit meeting program goals and/or contractual requirements.
- Manage direct, train and supervise staff. Oversee contracts, processing of payments to vendors, contractors, attorneys, and interpreters. Ensure documents and records are kept in compliance with Supreme Court Rules. Supervise scanning and record storage operations.
- Prepare and analyze statistics; monitor effectiveness and efficiency; issue departmental rosters; maintain inventory of oaths; maintain statistics on judicial transfer of cases; update manuals and website.
- Monitor quality assurance to ensure compliance with State Statutes, County Ordinances, local rules, contracts and court orders; provide information to internal/external customers; respond to parties' concerns and questions regarding the accuracy of court records or documents.
- Other duties as assigned and regular attendance is required
- Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three (3) years of working experience in a court or legal setting.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in a legal or court setting.
- An associate or higher degree and (1) year of experience working in a legal or court setting
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs and push/pull up to 25lbs on an occasional basis.
- Candidates with experience in a specialized program/division will be preferred.
- Contact with employees or others primarily at a routine level involving basic information exchange
- Contact with peers and others involving explanation of information (these contacts may be within or outside department or division), and the gathering of factual information. May include communication of sensitive or confidential information.
- Contact across departments or visions with employees involving persuasion of others, absent formal authority, to conform to a policy interpretation or recommended course of action.
- External contact involving a requirement to maintain a continuing external working relationship with individuals, or organizations.
- Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports, correspondence, and speak effectively before both internal and external groups.
- Read, analyze, and interpret business manuals, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
- Read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Prepare and/or present written communications that pertain to controversial and complex topics.
- Regularly makes decisions of responsibility, involving evaluation of information. Decisions may require development or application of alternatives or precedents.
- Work of a relatively routine nature. Requires the ability to understand and follow instructions
- Structured work, following limited variety of standard practices.
- Generally structured work but involving a choice of action within limits of standard policy and procedures.

Salary : $27 - $40
