Parks Playground Worker – Seasonal (III – Advanced)
Hourly Range: $13.26 - $16.58 /hr.
Summary -
Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of Parks playgrounds maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities –
Playground Inspections - Assist Playground Technician in performing scheduled safety inspections at each playground. Conduct routine safety audits of each playground. When issues arise has the training and experience to know when to make repairs and when to take equipment out of use.
Playground Repairs - Assist Playground Technician in properly making repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Grounds and Facility Maintenance - Replenish, grade and level playground surfacing material. Minor landscape regrading and turf restoration. Remove litter and graffiti.
Provide assistance to skilled trades / Utility Shop work - Assist all skilled trades / Utility Shop work as needed.
Equipment maintenance - Inspect and maintain all equipment and tools related to the performance of job duties.
Minimum Requirements –
Current resident of Wisconsin.
Valid WI Driver’s License
High School Diploma
At least One (1) year of minor maintenance experience.
Ability to lift/carry/pull/push 50 lbs.
Preferred –
Grounds maintenance experience preferred
CDL preferred
Motorized equipment experience preferred. (Skidster, Compact loader)
