JOB SUMMARY
Milwaukee Electronics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler 2 to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble and inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) and box-build electronic/electrical assemblies in accordance with Class 3 soldering standards. This hands-on, full-time, on-site position requires consistent attendance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
SHIFT
Monday - Friday | 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble electronic components using manual processes such as stuffing, mechanical assembly, hand assembly, and soldering (lead and lead-free).
- Perform visual and functional inspections in alignment with IPC workmanship standards.
- Conduct testing of completed electronic assemblies.
- Accurately follow written work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures.
- Maintain productivity and quality levels in accordance with established efficiency standards.
- Collaborate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Actively participate as a positive, dependable, and engaged member of a production team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide input for troubleshooting and improving processes.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics assembly
- Soldering proficiency to IPC Class 3 standards
- Ability to perform basic data entry tasks
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
Preferred:
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification
- Familiarity with ESD protocols and cleanroom procedures
- Previous experience using assembly documentation and process travelers
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to interpret and follow technical documents
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to interpret graphs and charts related to performance metrics

- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift)

- Visual acuity for close work, color recognition, and depth perception
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is performed on-site in a production facility with exposure to soldering fumes, assembly chemicals, and repetitive tasks in a team-based manufacturing environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required.
