SUMMARY
As an Assembler 2, you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of electronic components and devices. You will be responsible for assembling parts, subassemblies, or finished products according to specifications and quality standards. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS
Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform hand soldering of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits (ICs), and connectors onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including production counts, inspection results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Utilize various soldering techniques, including through-hole soldering, surface-mount soldering (SMT), and hand soldering of fine-pitch components.
- Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities, supporting change and identifying ways to improve processes and efficiency.
- Build product as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Utilize soldering equipment and tools to solder electronic components and wires as required.
- Inspect finished assemblies and subassemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing assembly tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other assemblers, technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure efficient production and assembly processes.
- The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the electronics industry required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Experience with soldering and basic hand tools used in electronic assembly.
- Ability to perform assembly tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Attention to detail in inspecting finished products for quality assurance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Perform hand soldering of electronic components.
Language, Mathematical & Reasoning Skills
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation.
- Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Basic understanding of and ability to read performance graphs.
- Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
- Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Component Identification course.
- Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be seated or standing, based on their workstation. The employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk. The employee must frequently use hands to point, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Vision requirements include: close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
