SUMMARY
Responsible for operating various production machines, including SMT Pick and Place, Through-Hole Component Insertion, Sequencing Machines, Wave Flow, and Reflow Solder Machines in a manufacturing environment.
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS
Thursday - Saturday | 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read job specifications to determine machine settings and material needs.
- Set up production machinery according to documented specifications.
- Operate machinery efficiently while ensuring product quality.
- Navigate computer systems to access assembly instructions.
- Monitor machine performance to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Perform minor machine maintenance as specified.
- Route defective material for rework or repair as needed.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Keep work area clean and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Provide input to process improvements and communicate effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work performed in this job can only be done on-site, and therefore attendance is an essential function of this job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 months of related manufacturing experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); ability to read performance graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret product quality standards and documentation.
- Computer Skills: Basic data entry proficiency.
CERTIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course.
- Must pass IPC Workmanship Standards exam.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision requirements include close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
