$3000 Sign-on Bonus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead test strategy development for New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring alignment with project and quality objectives.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test documentation to establish and uphold quality standards.
- Apply statistical quality control procedures to analyze and validate test data.
- Test and troubleshoot products of varying complexity.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and failure analysis, including resolving firmware and hardware integration issues.
- Manage test equipment calibration schedules, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, promoting advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
- Act as a liaison between test, quality, and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Interface directly with customers to address and resolve technical test-related issues.
- Evaluate and implement new test technologies and methodologies to enhance capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing efficiency, coverage, and quality.
- Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
- Attendance is an essential requirement, as all duties must be performed on-site.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but will train and oversee Test Technicians I & II.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive understanding of electronic systems, PCBA design, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with digital circuitry & knowledge of microprocessor or microcontroller software code.
- Ability to work independently.
- Required certifications
- IPC-A-610 (Class 2 or 3)
- J-STD-001
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education & experience (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred but not required).
- 5 years of progressive experience in PCBA testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Experience leading test strategy development for New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Proven ability to mentor junior technicians and improve testing processes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, speak, & understand English to enable clear communication & comprehension of documentation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
- Must achieve a passing score on IPC Component Identification course.
- Must achieve a passing score on IPC Workmanship Standards course.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
