Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of the camp entrances/exits/hallways and surrounding area. Greet visitors and report potential hazards to the Camp Director.
Position Summary
- Monitor entrances of Before/After-School Programs.
- Responsible for ensuring parents sign-in and sign-out their children daily.
- Prevent individuals from entering the building without approval.
- Prevent children from leaving the building without permission.
- Assist parents/guardians picking up children.
- Communicate effectively with parents, supervisors, students, and school leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a security position preferred
- Crisis, Prevention, and Intervention Training preferred
Required orientation within five days of hire:
- Review the camps Emergency Action Plan and the schools Emergency Codes and Procedures.
- Abusive Head Trauma video. (Successfully completed)
- Child Maltreatment Training Video. (Successfully completed and renewed every two years)
- Mandated Reporter Training. (Successfully completed and renewed every two years)
- DPI Medication Training Video. (Successfully completed, demonstrates skill every year, and renewed every four years)
- An active WI Registry Profile linked to the assigned Camp Program
Required trainings within 90 days / three months of hire:
- Current CPR/AED certification (successfully completed and renewed CPR/AED certification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children (ages 3-12 years).
- Possess qualities of patience, flexibility, understanding, acceptance, and caring.
