The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication (HSC) Department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in the field of User Experience (UX). The position will be available beginning in the fall semester of 2025. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The HSC Department has offices in MSOE’s Grohmann Museum, home of the Man at Work collection of industrial art. The UX Program has a close relationship with the Computer Science and Software Engineering programs allowing for collaboration in AI, ML, cyber security, data science, and computing education. The UX Program’s Gene Carter Usability Lab provides collaborative space for faculty and students to research and develop engaging interactive experiences.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills
- A Master’s degree in User Experience, Human-Centered Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia or Interactive Design, Information Science, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, or another related field
- Interest in working primarily with undergraduate students in a classroom setting
- Experience teaching online and hybrid courses to college students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with students and faculty from other departments?
- Relevant industry experience
