What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Security Intern position at Mimecast?
As an IT Security intern you will help protect our corporate IT infrastructure, business applications, and employees from cybersecurity threats. You will work closely with the rest of the IT department including the desktop, server, and network teams. You will assist the IT Security manager in a variety of ways to help secure Mimecast.
Responsibilities
To learn, understand, and assist with :
- securing corporate IT infrastructure and enterprise SaaS applications
- hardening endpoints and servers utilizing security benchmarks
- increasing security while balancing usability and flexibility for our employees
- analyzing and resolving findings from vulnerability scans
- researching, recommending and implementing additional controls to improve overall security posture
- managing projects to completion
