Mimecast is looking to hire a Public Sector Account Executive. This person will be dedicated to driving growth in named opportunities within state, local, and educational institutions (excluding Federal). This includes organizations such as universities, colleges, K-12 school districts, hospitals, municipalities, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and Pursue Sales Opportunities : Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new sales opportunities within assigned accounts, expanding into new state purchasing contracts and vehicles.
- Achieve Sales Targets : Consistently deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual new business and upsell goals by executing effective sales activity plans.
- Collaborate with Partners : Partner with the Channel Development team to create and execute account plans that align with business objectives and drive customer success.
- Build Strong Client Relationships : Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new business prospects, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Execute Sales Methodologies : Follow a structured, end-to-end sales methodology and process to ensure consistent success in closing deals.
- Pipeline Management : Regularly add qualified opportunities to the pipeline and oversee pipeline movement to ensure forecasting accuracy.
- Leverage CRM Tools : Maintain CRM discipline by generating Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to overall business administration.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with other company functions, including Market Development and Marketing, to contribute to organizational growth and success.
- Stay Informed and Agile : Attend training sessions, stay current on industry trends, and continuously develop relevant knowledge and skills in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
What You’ll Bring
The US base salary range for this position is $104,000-$156,000 base benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, incentive plans, and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
