Strategic Procurement Manager

We are excited to add a new Strategic Procurement Manager to our Strategic Procurement team! This role will pay a base salary between $119,000 - $145,000 based on previous medical sales experience, location, and other factors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position works within the Strategic Procurement function for all indirect and direct spend categories. Includes providing enterprise-wide strategic procurement support to deliver against company financial and operational objectives including cost savings, supplier management and rationalization, and standardizing sourcing and purchasing practices.  Will lead internal, cross-functional stakeholder teams through a structured sourcing processes to capture business requirements, analyze suppliers, develop category and sourcing strategy, select suppliers, and negotiate agreements that deliver value to the business.  In certain cases, may manage supplier relationships to include business reviews and issue resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct contract negotiation and execution with suppliers through collaboration with key stakeholders, Legal, and Finance

• Lead and manage RFx process (Information, Proposal, Quote)
• Continuously evaluate new and existing suppliers within managed category to ensure best service and financial outcome for organization

• In certain cases, may oversee the management of supplier relationships and supplier performance across their portfolio, including regular supplier meetings take place and improvement strategies are implemented

• Provide input and support in the development and implementation of the Strategic Procurement strategy and annual objectives

• Enhance sourcing and purchasing practices to ensure enterprise-wide discipline aligned with industry best practices.
• Stays current on industry trends, opportunities, and competitors to support supplier development opportunities
• Routinely report on sourcing activities and cost saving result against goals and objectives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing or Supply Chain preferred
• 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain

• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation preferred
• Successful execution of strategic sourcing events
• Supplier management and building relationships based on trust

• Experience working in a regulated industry, ideally life sciences, preferred
• Experience successfully managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
