Mimi’s Tea Cottage is an English Tea Room style restaurant where each guest can enjoy a classic tea service menu in an English garden ambience. Exceptional customer service is of utmost importance as each guest experience should be one that is inviting, relaxing and repeatable. Mimi’s generally caters to a lunch crowd which means no night shifts.
Mimi’s is a small business and the ideal candidate will be able to function as a kitchen manager as well as perform kitchen prep duties.
As a Kitchen Manager you will provide hands on leadership and supervise the day-to-day operations of the kitchen for the Tea Cottage while maintaining our quality standards, procedures, philosophies, and culture.*One or more years of kitchen experience. Pay is dependent on experience and skillset. * ServSafe manager certification required.
-Ability to follow recipes and cook and bake as needed.
-Teach and coach team to maintain our standards for food quality, service, and safety.
-Ensure cooks follow recipes and complete all prep and service day tasks in compliance with our recipes, systems, and standards.
-Supervise dish staff.
-Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
-Ensure all recipes and training material are current and maintained.
-Mentor and develop staff to continually improve.
-Provide weekly feedback to both kitchen and dish staff and resolve issues as they come up.
-Assist with new menu creation and expansion of food service.
-Effectively manage the execution of prep while also serving guests (dual prep-service kitchen)
