Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in software development and a drive to solve complex problems. You’ll work on high-impact projects leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AWS, WebAssembly, and PostgreSQL, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable applications using Python, JavaScript, and WebAssembly.
- Design, build, and integrate APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) for seamless communication across platforms.
- Optimize and maintain databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SQLite) to ensure performance and reliability.
- Implement and enhance cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services such as DynamoDB and Lambda.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions within deadlines.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices in coding standards and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing scalable and efficient solutions.
- Contribute to DevOps workflows, automating testing, deployment, and monitoring using tools like Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
- Document technical processes and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for team collaboration.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in software development and cybersecurity to drive innovation.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and JavaScript; familiarity with SQL.
- Tools and Technologies:
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, Lambda).
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in WebAssembly (Wasm) for performance-critical applications.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like ReactJS.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
