POSITION SUMMARY
The CMA will play a key role in supporting our healthcare providers by ensuring seamless patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient clinical environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care & Clinical Support:
- Greet and prepare patients for appointments, taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and wellness strategies.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records (EHR).
- Handle insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-ups as needed.
Clinic Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure exam rooms and medical equipment are properly stocked and sanitized.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training sessions.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required, Bachelors degree in applicable field preferred.
Experience: Experience working in substance use is preferred but not required. Two years of experience in private practice setting preferred.
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited program required.
Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations, and Federal Regulatory Standards. Complete TB testing, Drug Screening, and Background check upon being hired.
Salary : $40,000 - $41,600
