QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work preferred.
Experience: Experience working in substance use is preferred but not required.
Licensure: Must be independently licensed and in good standing as an LPC, LCSW, or LCSW.
Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations, and Federal Regulatory Standards. Complete TB testing, Drug Screening, and Background check upon being hired.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Private Practice Therapist provides high-quality mental health services to clients in an outpatient setting. This role involves conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy to support client well-being. The therapist works independently while contributing to the collaborative and client-focused culture of the clinic.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Assessment:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health concerns, emotional well-being, and relevant history.
- Identify and diagnose mental health disorders using appropriate assessment tools and diagnostic criteria.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on the assessment and diagnosis.
- Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals and establish a roadmap for therapy.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, mindfulness, or other modalities tailored to the client's needs.
- Foster a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients to explore and process their emotions.
Crisis Intervention:
- Respond effectively to crisis situations and provide immediate support when necessary.
- Collaborate with emergency services or other professionals as needed to ensure client safety.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting sessions, progress, and any changes in treatment plans.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality and record-keeping.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest developments in the field of psychology and therapy.
- Attend workshops, conferences, or training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Ethical Practices:
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards established by professional associations and licensing boards.
- Ensure that all therapeutic practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Client Education:
- Educate clients about mental health issues, coping strategies, and resources available to support their well-being.
- Promote self-awareness and empower clients to participate actively in their mental health.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, to provide comprehensive care when needed.
- Coordinate care and share relevant information with the client's consent.
Business Management:
- Partner with the Clinical Director to keep availability up to date.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional office environment.

Salary : $53,000 - $750,000
